Michael Allen
Mike was born and raised in Southern California (Long Beach area) and moved to Cedar City in the early 2000's with his wife and two children.
Mike started in the alarm business in 1990 after a stint in the US Army for a company called "Sonitrol" in Kentucky working in the central station. He moved back home to Long Beach to marry his "high school sweetheart" and began working for Brinks Home Security (now called BROADVIEW SECURITY).
During his time with Brink's Mike became affiliated with the NBFAA (National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association) and obtained certifications of Level 1, Level 2a & 2b, Practical Fire and took the instructors exam to become an instructor candidate. After working his way through the different technician levels all the way to Master Technician, Mike took the step to management and became a Supervisor and worked his way to Operations Manager of the Los Angeles market. After several years of management he wanted the commercial aspect of what the industry had to offer and went to work for ADT in Anaheim, CA.
While at ADT he became a lead technician on federal system projects and eventually became responsible for the Boeing, Huntington Beach facility as well as assist on other facilities in the Southern CA market. He also took on the challenge of being the project foreman for the Camera conversion project on the Bank of America locations from LA to San Diego. While at ADT he applied for and got the Operations Manager position with a sister company (Sonitrol of Long Beach)
During his tenure as Operations Manager in the Long Beach facility he also took over operations of the San Diego office and the acquisition of the San Bernardino office. Mike brought revenues up of all locations and reduced turnover of employees and customers.
After moving to Southern Utah, Mike went to work for an alarm company in St George. Unhappy with the way that customers were being treated and the amount that they were being charged, he formed Southern Utah Alarm.
Mike is an active member with Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.) and supports what they do. To learn more about BACA please visit their website at: www.bacausa.com
